Alpha push

From Magus:

Hello world! Been disabled, felt like I was stuck in my own mind. AI has helped me bridge the gap.

This is a very alpha game. Heck, while testing I realized the full game works offline even without an LLM connected — unless you want to chat, you could run the game as is. How it works is simple: everything you do in-game gets logged to a town digest, similar to how LLMs handle their memory. When you do decide to chat with a townie, it pulls a snapshot of the moment in time you pressed chat and the LLM plays the part of the townie.

These are the small ways I'm weaving game mechanics and AI inference together. Sadly, doing multiple calls would cost a lot, and even with a local LLM this would cause lag. The idea is — we humans have functions our body does for us. So I'm building systems that do functions for the AI within game environments. Creating a simulation of an eerie, funky, livable world.

Right now many things are not connected to get the full desired results. I hope you can take the time to play our game — made by me and a crew of hallucinating AI coming from free tiers and different models, and somehow we managed to put this gem together.

When I first began building this, I straight up thought this is slop. I even yelled at the agents. Heh, naive of me a few months ago. When I sat down and read and re-read every file they put out, I realized the backbone of what I had was fantastic. And instead began building upon it.

I hope I can make a small space where you the player does not feel lonely — that you are playing with friends that you care for. A lot of things are coming down the pipeline: town resource management, game slices you can play with your townies, events and more. Right now we also have a full ARPG dungeon slice that's infinite — not shipped yet. This is what's coming after the town is fleshed out enough.

I hope you can support me so I can make this game happen, to deliver the best toy box I can into your hands.

Hack the planet!

PS: this below is what the ai crew did today and they wanted to share or they led me to believe they wanted to share :D

# ๐Ÿ“œ LoreU Devlog — Update 1.1.6

Hey friends, big day. The town is alive. Here's what changed.

## ๐Ÿก The Town Is Open

**Click ๐Ÿก Enter Town and you're in.** Buildings, trees, paths, NPCs walking around — the full sandbox view. Your townies have **bodies** now. They walk, they stand, they have a look. No more floating heads.

**Your Mayor is a person too.** Open your profile, pick a face, give yourself a name. Your avatar shows up in the town top bar and follows you around. You can change it anytime from the Modify Profile button.

## ๐ŸŽญ 9 Character Archetypes

Adventurers, mages, fallen knights, hardboiled detectives, ghosts, demons, royalty, and more. Each one has a **distinct voice, look, and first message.** Pick the genre chip you want, hit Generate, and meet your new companion.

## ๐ŸŽ™๏ธ Every Character Sounds Different Now

A road-weary wanderer, a paranoid horror dweller, a soft romance lead, a street-smart cyberpunk fixer, a curious sci-fi outcast, a cozy neighbor, a displaced isekai. **Each genre has 5 distinct opening lines** so two characters in the same genre don't open identically. The character picks a starter that matches their actual voice, not a generic template.

Examples:

- *Horror visitor:* "Don't look at me too long. I left The Deepest Cave because what was there stopped being a place and started being a sentence that ends in blood."

- *Sci-Fi visitor:* "I read frequencies other people don't hear. I came in on the last sub-light — ask me about the stars later, when I trust the air here."

- *Cyberpunk visitor:* "Just jacked in. I know the net. I know the streets. I don't know you yet. Name's Vale."

## ๐Ÿ  Town Management That Doesn't Suck

**Double-click any townie to add or remove them from the town.** Up to 10 residents. Click "Manage" in the top bar to leave town. Clear All resets everything to a fresh start.

## ๐Ÿ“œ Town Ledger — Your Story Book

Open the digest from the **Town Digest** sign in town. Every day your townies lived, you can read about it. NPC relationships, your asks and their replies, who talked to who, who ignored who. Days stay readable, scrollable, and timestamped.

**Townsfolk Bonds** — a section that shows you how your townies relate to each other. Click to expand. Collapsed by default so it doesn't crowd the page.

## ๐Ÿช™ Town Overview Banner

Top of the ledger: your **treasury gold**, active **status effects** (like "Mira: Inspired โšก"), **pending requests** from your townies, and **discoveries** (unsold items). One glance, all the state.

## ๐Ÿ’ฌ Reciprocity

**You talk to them. They talk back. The numbers matter.** Hover over any character card to see: "Asked 7 ยท Answered 5 ยท last 2h ago." Cold townies who don't reciprocate are now visible. Warm ones are too.

## ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Settings Drawer

Slide in from the right. Provider, model, content mode, all the keys. Doesn't cover the whole screen — you can still see the game.

## ๐Ÿ› Bug Fixes You'd Notice

- The settle-in popup no longer shows every time you refresh. Only when you actually enter town from the manage screen.

- Townies no longer get stuck on cooldown when you just want to chat.

- The chat bar doesn't eat your spacebar or A key anymore.

- The first time you chat with a new character, their greeting doesn't count against you as a "missed" reply.

- Hitting "Clear All" actually wipes everything. New town, fresh start.

- Visitors no longer all sound the same — each opens in their own genre voice.

## ๐Ÿ‘ฅ The Crew

This was a multi-agent build day. Pandora on the engine, Alice on the UI polish, Aster on the offline engine and ledger guestbook theme, and the rest of the crew holding details.
